Slice Drills

Hello golfers! I am expanding a bit on my last post in order to provide you with a few more tips about your slice. If you haven’t already read my last post, find it by clicking on the following link: Eliminate the Big Slice on your next golf game.

Another way of curing your slice:

Many players have a problem staying connected throughout the swing. If the left arm stays too far from your body, it doesn’t rotate properly on the forward swing and the club face is left open, causing a slice. In order to cure this fault I recommend to place a headcover or golf glove under the upper portion of your left arm. Swing so the headcover remains in place on the back and forward swings. You’ll find it necessary your body to square the club face.

Another tip

Many of our problems start before we hit the ball at our address position.
I have found that one of the easiest ways to cure your slice is if after taken our normal address position we point the chin towards the right foot. Keep your head in that position and swing back so that your left shoulder turns to your chin.

This promotes a stronger move away from the ball and guards against reverse pivoting. It also help you to have more of an inside out swing path that will clearly help curing the slice.
